Are These Jump Rope Routines The All New Cardio Exercise
Everyone knows the importance of a good cardio work out. But we also know how boring continuing the same exercises is going to be. And research has shown that your body gets used to things you do day after day so the benefit eventually begins to decline.
Maybe the time has come to replace those tedious cardio workouts with some jump rope exercises to jump start your fat burning capacity back into high gear. Jumping rope seems very simple ... and it is. Not surprisingly kids do it all of the time! But once we get to be adults we feel we need to move on to less childish things and therefore some of the best exercises (like skipping rope) are shoved aside and no longer thought about.
Anyway things are beginning to change. We've all seen professional sports athletes jumping rope with seeming ease. We may have even thought it was kind of a sissy thing for a macho man to do. Trust me, those athletes wouldn't spend their workout time on a "sissy" exercise if it didn't give them any benefit.
So what is it about a jump rope workout that causes big strong professional athletes to fall back upon what is usually thought of as child's play? Several things actually.
Jumping rope provides some really important things that athletes wish to focus on. It will assist in improving your coordination, agility and muscle endurance. It will also help to strengthen your entire body, which gives most of the major muscle groups in your upper and lower body a good workout.
It is easy to see why so many at-home exercisers have taken a liking to the jump rope. It is, after all, in all probability the most inexpensive and portable piece of workout equipment around. You can use it inside or outside ... anywhere and anytime you have space and in spite of what the weather is doing. You can take it with you each time you travel ... whether for pleasure or for business.
And the proper jump rope routine will give you as high as triple the benefits of most other exercise workouts. Even though it may take a few tries to get the hang of it, the calories and fat that are burned inside of a simple workout routine are very well worth the effort.
Jumping rope is a unique alternative to cardiovascular exercise. And better yet you can start off slow and move at your own pace into a regular and rewarding workout ... one that can inexpensively and very successfully work all of your upper and lower body major muscle groups. Who could ask for anything more?
